This is a really easy tutorial that is great for beginners. The effect is trendy and oh so easy to do in Psp 8!
1) Create a new image by clicking File > New. Set options as follows: Size: 300W x 300H pixels, Resolution: 72, Raster Background, Uncheck the transparent box and click the colored box and choose black as your color. Click OK.
2) Click Effects > Illumination Effects > Sunburst. Set options as in the screen shot. Click OK.
3) Now we will distort the light. Click Effects > Distortion Effects > Twirl. Set the degrees to 690. Click OK. Repeat this step 2 or three times until you get the effect you like.
4)We need to add some color to the graphic. Click Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Colorize. The blue below is colorized with hue: 149 and Saturation: 61. Feel free to use whatever colors you like and experiment with the colorize feature.
Tip: The blue ringed graphic with the 3 red rings is made by colorizing one graphic blue and then another one red. Copy the red onto the blue graphic as a new layer. Make three separate layers with red rings. Set the blend mode on the red layers to Difference and move them with the move tool where you want them.
